Want more influence over decisions affecting your community? Got ideas for projects to change your neighbourhood for the better? Keen to see more public services working together to deal with important issues in your area?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you will want to know more about the Council's plans for improving neighbourhoods in Luton.
It's all about the Council, Police, Primary Care Trust, Fire Service and voluntary/community groups working together in a joined up, cost effective and supportive way to involve all citizens and respond to local issues by listening to your views.
As a key part of realising this vision, the 'Your Say, Your Way' programme is currently running in the West, South and Central areas of the town.
Based on feedback from the people involved in this work, we will be making recommendations for extending “Your Say, Your Way” to the rest of the town over the next two years.
Participatory Budgeting (PB) is a part of the ‘Your Say, Your Way’ programme. PB is a fund that local community and voluntary groups can bid for resources to improve the local area and local citizens can decide which ones get funding.
