Luton Community Observatory
The Luton Forum (Luton's local strategic partnership) developed the Luton Community Information Observatory as a community resource. Initial funding was from the Neighbourhood Renewal Fund.
The aim of the Observatory is to be a single source of statistical and research information on Luton for the community - residents, businesses, voluntary groups, public bodies and visitors.
The Observatory can be used to help you to:
- Plan more effectively
- Lobby for resources
- Support business plans and funding bids
- Monitor and evaluate activities
The Observatory contains a mixture of:
- Research and analytical reports
- Mapped statistics & datasets
- Location of facilities
All data is themed against the Forum's Community Plan.
The Observatory is in a continual process of development and refinement with the addition of new features and data.
The Research & Intelligence Team at Luton Borough Council manages the Observatory. We would welcome feedback on the Observatory, particularly about datasets and user tools. Please contact us research.intelligence@luton.gov.uk
The Research & Intelligence Team is also able to offer advice on sources of data, using and presenting statistics. Seminars can also be arranged to assist the community in accessing and presenting statistics. Please contact us for more information.
