What is Co-Financing?

All European Social Fund (ESF) monies in England in the 2007 – 2013 Programme will be distributed through Co-financing Organisations (CFOs).  A CFO acts as an intermediary body supplying both the ESF and the match funding elements to carry out the work as specified in a published prospectus.

As well as Luton, there are four other ESF Co-financing Organisations operating across the East of England region:

• the Learning and Skills Council
• the East of England Development Agency
• Jobcentre Plus
• Bedfordshire County Council (to be administered by Central Bedfordshire after 1st April 2009).
