Luton Gateway Project
Work on the new Luton Gateway has begun. With the demolition of the Bus Station car park there will no longer be a lift from the footbridge level down to Bute Street.
The stairs will remain for the majority of pedestrians.
This will mean that wheelchair users and pedestrians unable to use stairs will need to use the lift at the railway station concourse down to Station Road.
Pedestrians are encouraged to use the following two routes – Route 1 is not suitable for wheelchairs.
Route 1 - Station Road - Church Street - Guildford Street - Bute Street
Route 2 - Station Road - Guildford Street/Mill Street - Guildford Street - Bute Street
