This page is a summary of the Economic Participation. Please look at the other pages in this section for additional information concerning the process of how to express an interest in beeing invited to submit a tender.

We are looking for suitably qualified organisations to deliver £2.8m worth of activities to contribute towards Economic Participation in Luton.

There are 4 activities

  1. In 2 Work – activities to provide learning and skills training to adults that will result in them gaining qualifications, basic skills and employment
  2. Learning Shop – provision of a centrally located and staffed shop to provide information and advice on all learning opportunities in Luton
  3. Making Positive Transitions – provision of a town centre resource to work with young people who lack basic skills, have no qualifications and are not in education, employment or training (NEET) or at risk of becoming so.
  4. Luton Business Space – provision of two managed work space projects in the areas of Northwell, Biscot, Lewsey or Dallow with business support for small and medium sized enterprises.


If you are interested, you will need to go to the e-procurement site that we use, Local Government Sourcing  to express an interest in being invited to tender.

The opening date for expressing an interest is 6/4/09 and the closing date is 24/4/09.

Only organisations successfully completing the expression of interest stage on the e-procurement site will be invited to tender.
