The Prince's Trust helps young people by providing long term support to those who have the potential but few opportunities.
The business programme offers finance and advice to those wishing to start a business, but who are unable to obtain all the support they need from other sources.
The Prince's Trust offers low interest loans of up to £5000 (average loan is around £2200) and in exceptional cases a grant of up to £1500 may be available. Test marketing grants of up to £250 are also on offer to enable you to find out if your business idea if viable.
Eligibility Criteria
- age 18-30 (up to 31st birthday)
- unemployed (or in part time or temporary employment - seek further advice from local office)
- viable business idea (small number of minor restrictions, e.g. gambling or alcohol related businesses)
