Parenting Courses

There following parenting courses are currently being coordinated across Luton.

Trained practitioners run a variety of courses to meet a range of needs:

One off seminars for a large group of parents
One to one parenting courses
One to one enhanced parenting support
Group parenting courses for parents of children aged 3-18 years
Group parenting course for parents of children with a learning disability
Group parenting course for parents and children aged 10-14 years

To explore the variety of courses being coordinated across Luton we have produced a Parenting Information Booklet which will give in-depth information on each course.

Strengthening Families Strengthening Communities

Group programme for parents of children 3-18 years

Duration: 13 weeks of 3 hour sessions

Mellow Parenting
Is a intensive program working with parents / carers of children between 0-5 with relationship difficulties.
Duration: One session is a full day a week for fourteen sessions.

Mellow Babies
A specialised version of Mellow Parenting, based on the core principles, has been developed for parents and vulnerable babies under one year.
Duration: One session is a full day a week for fourteen sessions.

Mellow Bumps
A antenatal programme for mums-to-be with additional health and social care needs.
Duration: 6 sessions, each session is 2 hours

Triple P Seminars
Aimed at large groups of parents
Duration: 4 sessions, each session 1.5 hours (consecutive attendance is not necessary as each topic is different)

Triple P Standard
One to one parenting program for parents of children 0-12 with mild to severe behavioural or emotional problems

Triple P Group Stepping Stones
Group Parenting program for Parents of children with a disability aged 0-12

Strengthening Families 10-14
Group program for parents and children aged 10-14
Duration: 7 weeks of 2 hour sessions
