Heritage open day weekend

Discover Luton’s hidden places during Heritage Open Day weekend

* Have you ever wondered what the inside of the Town Hall looks like?
* Have you always wanted to sit in the Council Chambers?
* Do you know where Luton’s most famous Ghost signs are?
* How do you fancy wandering around the roof of Wardown House?

Here's your chance to have a look around rooms and spaces that are seldom accessible to the public, or find hidden places and pieces of history that you might walk past every day without realising. As part of this years’ Heritage Open Days weekend in September, We, together with Luton Culture have teamed up to provide a range of free tours. From discovering the location of the J. F. Tooley sign, to exploring the Neolithic Henge of Wauluds Bank, to the popular chance to look around the Council Chambers and Mayoral Chamber in the Town Hall, there is a great programme of events taking place.

Our free Heritage Open Day tours take place on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 September 2017 and booking opens on Monday 14 August. We expect these to be popular, so please book early to avoid disappointment. All visitors will be entered into a prize draw to win a copy of A History of Luton; from Conquerors to Carnival by Anne Allsopp.
