Where and who to go to for information, advice, guidance and support on a wide range of issues relating to the voluntary and community sector, including running your organisation and applying for funding. You will also find information about the latest news about what's happening in Luton's VCS. If you would like to post your event on the site please contact regenfunding@luton.gov.uk.

Training opportunities, seminars and conferences

Information about training courses, workshops, seminars and conferences, run by and for the VCS. If you have a course running, or know of courses or events that you think VCS colleagues would find useful, and would like to post your event on the site please contact regenfunding@luton.gov.uk.

Voluntaryworks

Voluntaryworks is the infrastructure organisation for Luton and Bedfordshire’s Voluntary and Community Services organisations. It offers a range of services, including training and help and support to find and access funding. Voluntaryworks also has a directory of VCS organisations across the county, available online. If you would like your organisation to be included in the directory please contact Voluntaryworks via the website.

Community Funding Locator gives you the opportunity to search for funds for your project or organisation, free of charge and at your convenience. Find out also about the latest funding opportunities, what’s going on in Luton’s VCS and where to get help and support and training opportunities.

Also check out the Help and Advice section, providing explanations about different kinds of funding and how to apply. You need to register on the site (it's free) and then you can use the search engine to look for funding for your project or organisation.​

Volunteers in Leagrave Park

Community charity Groundwork East partnered with Luton Council and London Luton Airport Ltd to run the Green Skills project​, an employment programme that helps local people back into work, education or training. The project created a path at Rotten Spinney in Leagrave Park, following the River Lea and opening up the woods up for community use.​

Community charity Groundwork Luton & Bedfordshire partnered with Luton Borough Council and London Luton Airport Ltd to run the Green Skills project, an employment programme that helps local people back into work, education or training. The project converted the previously redundant Bide-A-While allotment site as a community growing project thanks to the efforts of 15 unemployed Luton volunteers.​​​​
